In line with the spirit of South-South cooperation, Malaysia has implemented the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) since 1980. This programme stands as proof of the commitment of the Government of Malaysia towards the promotion of technical cooperation among developing countries, offering support in areas where Malaysia has the experience and expertise.

The MTCP was formulated based on the belief that the development of a country depends on the quality of its human resources. Hence the emphasis of MTCP is on the development of human resources through the provision of training at participating universities and training institutions in Malaysia. Besides professional upgrading in content areas, participants will find a platform for sharing information and experiences.
