population is aroung 23 million. It is a multi-ethinic nation comprising
three major races, namely Malays, Chinese and Indians. There are also smaler
groups in the community such as the Sikhs, Eurasians and the indigeneous
groups like the Ibans, Bidayuhs, kadazans and Muruts who are mostly residing
in Sabah and Sarawak |

| Clothing |

Light
clothes made of materials such as cotton and linen are usually worn in Malsysia.
For lectures, participants should be attired in long-sleeves shirts with
ties and tailored pants. For more formal occasions, suit, jacket and tie
or national costume is the norm. Ladies should be appropriately dressed
in office attire. |

seeking to enter Malaysia must be in possession of valid passports or other
internationally recognized travel documents endorsed for travel to Malaysia.
Such passports of other travel documents must be valid for at least 6 months
beyond the perriod of stay allowed in Malaysia. In the case of a national
passport not recognized by Malaysia, the holder must be in possession of
a document in lieu of a passport obtained at the nearest Malsysian Mission
abraod. |
